He has performed on TV, radio and stage in venues ranging from intimate coffeehouses and bustling nightclubs to a variety of educational institutions including Florida International University, Miami-Dade Community College, and University of Kansas. He was awarded "Best Book by a Local Author" in the Miami New Times' "Best of Miami 2003 Readers Poll". He competed at National Poetry Slam competition in 2003, 2004 and 2005.
