Gustavo Fidelis was born on January 17, 1979 in Florianopolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil. Since he was six years old, when he started to take electronic organ lessons, the music has come into his life. Small presentations at school and in similar events, even children, have left he far from fear and began to build the confidence that he is currently in stages. After five years studying electronic organ, he tried the drums. He studied for almost a year, and then stopped to study music at all. When he was 17, he hurt his foot playing basketball at school and was forced to stay at home for five days without power to touch the foot in the ground. That's when he learned to play guitar himself. Three years later he began his first band, Mirabilis Jalapa, as the drummer, but also loving, writing and learning more and more as guitarist and even daring to sing. After five years studying electronic organ, he tried the drums. He studied for almost a year, and then stopped to study music at all. Then in 2003, driven by a motorcycle accident, he started to sing and play with his partner Rodrigo Ribeiro, forming the Acoustic Fidelis & Ribeiro. This work had the duration of just over four years with great success and recognition, including even a television show with the same name in a private channel of Cable TV in Florianopolis. Last year, 2007, Gustavo Fidelis was part of the Ídolos (Brazilian Idol) show, appearing nationally in an open TV Channel and showing his voice to the whole country. Nowadays Gustavo Fidelis is starting his international career. He traveled to the United States of America and is currently working on some contracts to record his own CD and make a big tour, starting in the area of Miami-Dade and Broward County, where he's now living.
