HUMA ROJO appears in the Miami local scene, where they bring a diversity of sounds with a very sensual and seductive musical wave. They have spent a long time trying out different musicians, and building a local following. Their sound is original melodic and experimental, mixing Spanish Rock with a Splash of English lyrics. There originality is combined with their different nationalities, HUMA ROJO is a blend of Mexico and Venezuela with refined tastes, and styles. Lead vocalist, also, guitarrist, bassist and songwriter Damaris Vicke , from Mexico City, has been described as "sweet, dark, and sexy". She seduces a following with her sweet and angry sorrowing vocals, choppy guitars, and unique stage presence. Javier Guell, also guitarist and songwriter from the local signed band SONIKO, brings his unique killer guitars, harmonies, and arrangements to Huma Rojo. Both, Damaris and javier, have built an extraordinary sound that will leave you with a melted and open mouth. Carlos Maya an excelent and experienced musician joins Huma Rojo with an original, powerful sound, The Drums. After searching for a while, finally Huma finds what it takes and combines with the sound, Carlos, is also a producer and keyboardist of ADOBO music. Federico Fong joins Huma as well, versatile Composer, Producer and Multi-instrumentalist who has written, produced and toured the world with some of the biggest Latin Rock groups, including CAIFANES, JAGUARES & LA BARRANCA. Federico lives in NYC and Miami, writing and producing music for film, commercials.
