Paula Lobos was born in Montevideo, Uruguay. When she was three years old she moved to Sweden with her family. She has her base in Stockholm and it is here where she writes and records most of her material. Paula has been singing since she was a little girl and has studied music at several music schools in Stockholm. Starting in a gospel choir became something of a changing point for her. "Singing gospel has been a very good way for me to develop and find my own style as a singer. I strongly recommend it if you are into soul and R&B music." Her first musical impression was made by Whitney Houston. "My dad and I were driving up to Stockholm after visiting my aunt and cousins, who live in the south of Sweden, and he had brought some cassettes to listen to in the car. When I heard Whitney Houston I was so impressed! Wow, I couldn't believe you could sing like that! That's how I wanted to sing." And so, Paula's love for soul, R&B, and pop was born. In the fall of 2002, she started her record label, "LadyBug Records", and released through it in May 2003 her debut album "Aura" to large critical acclaim. The first single "Fuss & Fight" and the second one "Your Life" became hits throughout Sweden garnering tremendous support on Swedish national radio and on music channels ZTV and MTV. At the moment, Paula is putting the finishing touches to her latest album "Una Vida Mas". For the first time, Paula sings R&B/Pop in her native tongue- Spanish. The first single off the album "Luz en Mi Camino" is a celebration of love and a tribute to that special someone everyone has who helps them get through the tough times. This album release marks the first time Paula Lobos' music is heard in the United States. Paula embarks on a promo tour that will take her through Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and Miami on October 22nd, 2007.
