Subterfuge Records se estableció en 1989. Sus primeros pasos fueron como un fanzine dedicado a la música, cine y comics. Un poco más tarde, comenzó a publicar los trabajos de grupos emergentes de la escena underground hasta que, en 1993, se editó el primer gran éxito del sello: Australian Blonde "Pizza Pop". Desde ahí en adelante, nuevo talento fue creado, trabajado y desarrollado, y más grupos bajo el sello de Subterfuge sorprendieron y enriquecieron el panorama musical español: Dover, Fangoria, Undrop, Los Fresones Rebeldes, Najwa Jean hasta los más recientes Marlango, Cycle, Glamour To Kill, Humbert Humbert, Sexy Sadie, Mastretta o Lonely Joe, entre muchos otros.
Subterfuge Records se ha convertido en el sello independiente más sólido, valorado y creíble dentro de la escena independiente de España. Actualmente está también involucrada en el managment y booking de sus artistas, distribución digital y producción de documentales y cine.

Subterfuge Records established itself in 1989. Its first steps was as a fanzine dedicated to all those things Subterfuge was passionate about: music, films and comics. Subterfuge Records has turned into the most solid, experienced and credible independent music company in Spain. Distributed by Universal Music Spain, it has also expanded its presence in the music business and is now also involved in different areas, such as artist booking, digital distribution, TV & Film production.
